History
1974 - 1980
1974 - Establishment of ABI Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH at Babenhausen.
1975 - Introduction of the very first ABI MOBILRAM RE 7500. This new innovative machine concept turned out to be the future of ABI.
1979 - Founding of ABI Maschinenfabrik and move from Babenhausen to Niedernberg with approx. 30 employees.

1981 - 1990
1982 - Expansion of the facility on Boschstraße with a second hall.
1985 - Entry of Christian Heichel into the family-owned business.
1988 - Merging distribution company and production company to one.

1991 - 2000
1993 - The first In-house exhibition takes place.
1995 - The founder of ABI, Mr. Alfred Heichel, passed away.
2000 - Taking over company DELMAG in Esslingen, producer of drill rigs and diesel pile hammers.

2001 - 2007
2002 - Mr. Matthias Heichel was announced as General Manager of DELMAG.
New halls are built on the new factory premises “Am Knückel”.
2003 - Acquisition of product line and trade mark BANUT from Sweden.
BANUT is producer of fixed leader masts and hydraulic impact hammer. Production is relocated from Sweden to Niedernberg.
2004 - Introduction of the new piling method “Directional vibrating” at bauma in Munich and being awarded for most innovative technology at the exhibition.

2008
2008 - ABI starts manufacturing their own carriers for the DELMAG drill rigs.
Establishment of the subsidiary ABI Equipment Ltd. in the United Kingdom.

2009
2009 - ABI acquires the INTEROC brand and moves all activities to Niedernberg.
At the in-house exhibition the whole product range of ABI Group is presented. As highlight the third vibrator generation MRZV-VV is shown in action.

2010
2010 - ABI Gruppe presents the new MOBILRAM-System TM 22 as well as the DELMAG drill rig RHV 40 on self produced carrier T121D at the bauma in Munich.

2012
2012 - ABI invites to in-house exhibition in Niedernberg. Besides a numerous new machines also the control system Efficiency Drive is introduced.

2013
2013 - In spring ABI presents the new MOBILRAM-System TM 17 and the new DELMAG drill rig RH 24 at the bauma in Munich.
ABI mouns the loss of Ingrid Heichel, founder of the company.

2014
2014 - ABI celebrates 40 years company anniversary and 30 years of cooperation with company Sennebogen.

2017
2017 - ABI Gruppe grows. ABI acquires shares on swedish company SPD Scandinavian Pile Driving AB.

2019
2019 - In 2019, the new welding shop went into operation at the new premises Boschstraße 2 in Niedernberg.

2021
2021 - Expansion of machining at Boschstrasse 2 in Niedernberg.

2022
2022 - At bauma, ABI is presenting the TM 13 Hybrid and a new pitching chain system as well as the biggest telescopic leader mast ABI MOBILRAM TM 26.
